Can't Turn Away

I wrote this in 2005 after following the media on Hurricane Katrina and feeling all kinds of helpless. The verses of this song may not entirely align with the movement happening right now in our country and the entire world, but the chorus absolutely applies.
We can not turn away from those who need us. We can not turn away from the atrocities people have to face day in and day out because of the color of their skin. We can not turn away from looking inside ourselves for our own biases and what we can improve.
It's beyond time to work together to do better for our fellow humans who are treated as less than.

My brother requested a new version of the song earlier this week and thought others may get something out of it as well.
