Can't wait to get these out to you!
They've arrived! Done, done, done!!! I'm listening to it right now. Can't wait for you all to do the very same thing! Officialy release date is May 17th. Any Kickstarter supporter will get their's before the release date. Yay!!!
CDs are finished and being shipped to me today! Should arrive by Wednesday!
Can't hardly believe it. Very soon everyone who supported the Kickstarter project will have one in their hands!
I'm working on putting shows together for this June/July in the Northwest. Let me know if you have suggestions or if you'd like to host a house concert!
Should be ordering everything this week to be duplicated! Album artwork is all finished, just waiting on some promotional material designs to be finalized so I can order everything all at once.
On another note, I read about the passing of one of the biggest supporters of my music today, Mike Worthey. I'm very shocked and sad about this news. I wrote about it on my blog (www.artsyintros.blogspot.com) as a way to get thoughts out of my head. He was one of this album's biggest Kickstarter pledgers, too. So, I've decided to dedicate the album to him.
This last weekend I spent part of Saturday with my cousin Angela and her boyfriend Abe who are both skilled artists/photographer/design folks. We got the majority of the album artwork and info all layed out and it's all ready to go aside from a couple little things! I should be getting a hard copy of the master in the mail by the end of this week, also. Just a few small things to wrap up and it will all be ready to be sent to get copied! I'm pretty sure it will be ready to be in the hands of Kickstarter supporters by the end of April! Then, everyone else shortly after that.
I am beginning to plan some CD Release shows and other performances for May, June and July. I would love to play some house concerts in there. If you're interested in hosting one, take a look at the House Concert info page on my site!
Mastering is complete! Just sent final payment and everything to the wonderful mixing engineer, Sean Killary! Next up is album layout! Whew!
I was thinking today, on my long drive from Pullman to Seattle, how lucky I am to have gotten to work with such a great group of musicians from start to finish of this project. Everyone really understood my music and helped get it to a great spot for this album. No one every tried to push me some weird way or made me feel anything less than pretty dang awesome. Makes me happy.
The mastering of the album is set to begin today! Wahoo!
We're on to the mixing phase! Sean Killary is mixing all the tracks this week, then he'll be working on the mastering. If all goes as planned all that will be finished by the beginning of next week! Getting close to the finish line!
