As per usual with these types of projects, Allison's second album project is over budget. In order to pay engineers what they deserve and create the best looking product about $600 more is needed in addition to what was raised through Kickstarter. Allison is doing her best to raise it on her own through her three jobs, but if you missed your chance to donate during the Kickstarter Campaign feel free to donate using paypal. Include a note with your email and she will be sure to get you a copy of the album when it's finished if you donate $10 or more! Thank you!

Three Little Tracks Left!
Currently, I'm listening to a take of my song "Messengers of Summertime" that I did last night. Drove me nuts all day, but it's possible my part for the song is finished. If not, I'll redo it tonight without stressing out.
Then it's just a cello part, backing vocal part and solo guitar part left to track for the whole album! Afterwards everything will be prepared for the mixing engineer by the fantastic and amazing Vanessa Collier, who recorded us in November. The album artwork is just about finished as well! My creative cousin Angela Boyle has done a great job. I'll be going to her place tomorrow to check it out and give any final feedback if necessary. I'll be meeting with a videographer tomorrow morning to plan a video for my song "Worrying About Worrying", which I plan to release as a single before the album is officially out. Exciting stuff - it's great that it's all coming together! Thank you all for your patience and support! -Allison Release Date Pushed Back
Not by much though!
Currently here's what we have left to do: Re-record "Messengers of Summertime" Get backing vocals for "Messengers" done Record backing vocals and cello for "Be Heard" Get everything prepared for the mixing engineer Have him mix it in early March Get finalized cover art Order merchandise and duplication Receive in mail Ship out the album to Kickstarter supporters with all the goodies! Sounds like a plan! Thanks for checking in and all the support! Step Forward
Found our mixing engineer! He will be working on the mixing/mastering in March, which gives us time to put the finishing touches on... like backing vocals, cello part, redoing a couple songs... :) Wow, am I a perfectionist.
Thanks to Vanessa for putting up with my craziness and helping me out so much! I'll be recording some backing vocals to add on to tracks tomorrow. Those are always fun to do! Till next time... -Allison A Little Set Back
Currently I'm in the process of finding a mixing engineer. I had a fantastic one but she has too much coming up to be able to get my project done in the amount of time I would have liked. So, just a tiny set-back. We may need to push back the release date a bit. I still have a few backing vocal tracks to record, a cello part to get recorded by someone and one song to re-record. A bit of work left to do aside from mixing.
Other than that I have found an artist who will be designing the album cover! More on that later. I will be releasing a single before the full album is released and have discussed a video with an interested videographer as well! Lots to put together, so as new things develop I'll be sure to post here about them! |
